Jake Passot

Jake joined the Marine Corps at the age of 18. He moved to San Diego in 2009 when he received orders to MCAS Miramar, and it has been his home ever since. In 2010 he began coaching tackle football where he discovered his passion for athletic coaching and performance. In 2014, after serving honorably for 9 years, Jake left his career in the Marine Corps to turn his passion into a career. In 2018 Jake graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University with his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis on fitness specialist. In 2020, Jake then earned his master’s degree in exercise physiology, also at SDSU.

While in college Jake had the opportunity to intern at EXOS in Carlsbad and at Fitness Quest 10 in Scripps Ranch. There he had the opportunity to help train many current and aspiring NFL players in their offseason training and NFL draft preparation including two first round draft picks and a Hall of Fame quarterback. Jake is passionate about sports performance, he loves developing high school athletes, and is the head football coach at The O'Farrell Charter School.

Jake believes in a wholistic approach to human performance. To him, all aspects of health and fitness need to be integrated to achieve peak performance. On his journey he has seen the joint effort of physical therapists, nutritionists, and strength and conditioning specialists to push athletes to new levels. Jake believes that this approach is not just reserved for the most elite athletes, but for everyone to live an active life free of pain. It is this belief that attracted Jake to Fit Societe. The opportunity to work in collaboration with the amazing physical therapists at Rehab United to help clients become the peak versions of themselves.

Jake spends much of his free time with his wife Liz, daughter Kara, and two dogs Ein and Rupert. During the football season much of his time is consumed with coaching, but in the off-season he enjoys snowboarding and disc golfing with friends, and is looking forward to starting his first Dungeons & Dragons campaign. When he gets some time to himself, he likes to play story driven video games. He is always reading a book on football or strength and conditioning.
